Day 002: Setting Up EVE-NG

My Setup

  • VMware on Ubuntu host
  • 64GB RAM (still slow sometimes)
  • Intel i7, 20 cores with virtualization
  • 2TB storage

What I Did

Followed David Bombal’s video to get EVE-NG installed. Used AI to help script the conversion of Cisco and other vendor ISOs — renaming and copying them to the right locations.

Got it running with all images showing up in the EVE-NG web portal!

Also discovered Tilix terminal — looks like it’ll be my go-to for this journey.
