Day 002: Setting Up EVE-NG
My Setup
- VMware on Ubuntu host
- 64GB RAM (still slow sometimes)
- Intel i7, 20 cores with virtualization
- 2TB storage
What I Did
Followed David Bombal’s video to get EVE-NG installed. Used AI to help script the conversion of Cisco and other vendor ISOs — renaming and copying them to the right locations.
Got it running with all images showing up in the EVE-NG web portal!
Also discovered Tilix terminal — looks like it’ll be my go-to for this journey.
